My love of clay started back in New York, in 1973. I took my first ceramics class in college and after moving to California, I continued with classes for 3 more years. Pretty soon work, marriage and family came first and ceramics took a back seat. I always wanted to continue creating with clay but couldn’t find the time. Twenty-three years went by and then, after surviving a brush with cancer, my priorities shifted and I knew I had to make room for creativity in my life. I love working on the potter’s wheel. I find it relaxing, almost meditative, and it makes me feel centered. It truly was art therapy when I needed it the most. I enjoy creating on the potter’s wheel and also working with hand rolled slabs. I love making utilitarian ware that can be used every day. I specialize in custom platters for any occasion.
